A musical and choreographic event, Franceconcert presents Carmina Burana, one of the most famous masterpieces of the twentieth century.
Based on a collection of lyric poems, Carmina Burana was composed by Carl Orff between 1935 and 1936. First performed in 1937 at the Frankfurt Opera House, this masterful piece has always fascinated and left no one indifferent. The most famous movement, "O Fortuna," repeated at the end of the work, is now world-famous.
Interpreted with passion and power by choirs and soloists, these secular and Latin songs tell us a story of life, death, destiny, and above all, love. Nearly 100 artists sing the joy of the return of spring and the pleasures of alcohol, play with the wheel of destiny, dance of love and lust. This new production takes on this musical phenomenon with sensuality and emotion to show that music, gesture and speech are inseparable.
A great success of the twentieth century played all over the world, this original and spirited show will go out to meet the public for a major European tour starting in November 2021.
