Description

Wounds and scarring, a rapidly changing discipline.

A growing number of experts, more organized centers, increasingly specialized nursing activities, new tools for primary care teams, links between E-health and optimized, coordinated care for isolated patients or those living in nursing homes.

This is what the Société Française et Francophone des Plaies et Cicatrisation will be highlighting at its next annual congress on January 21, 22 and 23, 2024. 2024 will be the crucial year for assessing the widespread use of articles 51, making it possible to offer care solutions throughout France in less than 48 hours by teams of experts, linked with centers providing day hospitalization and e-health follow-up.

By 2024, the SFFPC, in collaboration with the other learned societies concerned (Société Française de Chirurgie Vasculaire, Société Française de Chirurgie Plastique Reconstructrice et Esthétique), will have proposed recommendations on the management of critical ischemia in lower limbs with wounds.

Also in 2024, thanks to a partnership with the Société Française de l'Escarre (French Wound Society) and the SFMV (French Society for Wound Management), recommendations will be made on the organization of wound care and treatment paths, combining E-health and HDJ in accredited wound healing centers.

Then, as always, there will be the essential teaching modules for youngsters and experts, renewed this year to keep the flame burning, and plenary sessions to take stock of particular aspects of the discipline.

Don't forget to make a note of the dates, and plan well in advance to ensure you have enough time to take part.

Dr Luc TEOT - President of the SFFPC
