Reopening of CNIT Forest: a new showcase for business events

An iconic building that first saw the light of day back in 1958, CNIT Forest had been closed since 2015 to get a facelift. The result of this refit is a modular and inclusive space that combines nature and technology for a unique event experience.

An unprecedented transformation

Following a comprehensive renovation, CNIT Forest reopened in late summer 2023, raising the curtain on a truly exceptional venue for event management and business tourism professionals. The accomplishment of the combined talents of distinguished architect Nicolas Adam and renowned designer François Schuiten, the new CNIT Forest offers an experience combining technological immersion and respect for the environment.

Located in the very heart of Paris’ La Défense business district, CNIT Forest welcomes organisers and professionals in a subterranean forest. Here, there are no real trees, but rather a digital forest with trunks lit by multiple LEDs stretching up to the ceiling. These luminous trees are the gateway to infinite, customisable spaces, with every nook and cranny of the venue offering the modularity to provide visitors with unique sensory experiences. Transcending the conventions of the sector, CNIT Forest can accommodate a substantial audience and two events simultaneously within its space spanning more than 10,000 square metres.

An eco-responsible and inclusive venue

In keeping with Viparis' CSR ambitions, an inclusive approach also lies at the heart of the design of CNIT Forest. The site is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility, thus raising accessibility standards for an event venue of this scale. Designed with an eco-responsible approach, CNIT Forest also stands out through its use of energy-efficient LED lighting, reducing its environmental footprint while providing a modern and innovative setting. All of this is enhanced by the use of bio-sourced materials, since part of the new CNIT Forest's furniture was supplied by Furniture For Good, a French start-up that recycles waste into design-led, responsible furniture - a start-up discovered, incidentally, by French Event Booster, the Viparis in-house incubator!

With this breath-taking refurbishment, CNIT Forest distinguishes itself as an original and prestigious event venue where the future is entwined with the present. An unforgettable sensory experience for anyone who crosses its threshold.
