Viparis, Official Supporter of Paris 2024, unveils its Team of six Olympic and Paralympic athletes

With less than 200 days to go until the kick-off of events at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Viparis is proud to introduce the six athletes making up its “Team Viparis” whose competitions will take place at two Viparis venues.

As an official supporter of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Viparis will accompany these athletes throughout the year, from their preparation to the competition. It is at the heart of Viparis venues that these elite sportspeople will excel in their disciplines to be held at the North Paris Arena (Paris Nord Villepinte) and the South Paris Arena (Paris Expo Porte de Versailles): boxing, table tennis and para table tennis, volleyball and sitting volleyball.

As ambassadors of the values of Viparis, these six athletes – three women and three men – who will be competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic events, will illustrate the plurality of disciplines and journeys represented during the course of the Games. The aim will also be to promote the values of excellence, determination and perseverance, all values held dear by Viparis.

The full list of Team Viparis ambassadors is as follows:

  • Héléna Cazaute – Volleyball – South Paris Arena
  • Esteban Herrault – Para table tennis – South Paris Arena
  • Alexis Lebrun – Table tennis – South Paris Arena
  • Félix Lebrun – Table tennis – South Paris Arena
  • Lynda Medjaheri – Sitting volleyball – Paralympic event – North Paris Arena
  • Amina Zidani – Boxing – Olympic event – North Paris Arena

Viparis’ support of these six athletes once again underscores the group’s desire to contribute to the development of sporting events and become a key player in their organisation and management.

“The formation of a Team of athletes illustrates our desire to deepen our involvement in the Paris 2024 adventure. We are very proud to accompany these Olympic and Paralympic athletes who will be competing at venues operated by Viparis. Paris Nord Villepinte becomes North Paris Arena, and will host boxing, pentathlon fencing and sitting volleyball competitions. Paris expo Porte de Versailles becomes South Paris Arena and will be the backdrop for boccia, goalball, weightlifting, para table tennis, table tennis and volleyball. “Viparis will also contribute to the reach of the Paris Games by providing Paris le Bourget for the International Broadcast Center (IBC) which will retransmit all the pictures and footage from the Games. The Palais des Congès meanwhile will be the Main Olympic Press Center, the unavoidable hub for the world media during the Games. This also demonstrates our ability to welcome all events, including the world’s biggest sporting events,” says Arnaud Burlin – CEO of Viparis.
